Cleveland Mountain Rescue

Posted 11/8/2017

On Thursday 2nd February we had a visit from Cleveland Mountain Rescue. Pete and Craig came into talk to us about what they do and the equipment they use to search for, and rescue people. They also spoke to us about how we can stay safe on our local moors and hills.

It was interesting to see all the equipment they used. Jennifer and Emily volunteered to wrapped in the special sleeping bags and stretchers that they use. We all were allowed to sit in their Landrover. The best part of the day was meeting Oscar. He is a Border Collie and is 1 year old. He is training to become and search and rescue dog. Most of the time he was very well behaved but kept getting really excited and barking because he wanted to rescue us! Thank you Pete, Craig and Oscar from all of Class 3.
